Arts and Events in the Mid West
Regional Arts WA acknowledges the Aboriginal people of the Mid West as the traditional custodians. We are thankful to be on this country and acknowledge the Elders past, present and emerging. We respect and celebrate the continuing contribution of Aboriginal Australians to culture and the arts.
With picturesque limestone cliffs dotting the region’s coast from between Green Head to Kalbarri, all the way 800 kilometres inland to Wiluna in the Gibson Desert, the Mid West is covered in life – counted as one of only five spots in the world with marine and terrestrial hotspots of national or international significance.
Come to Geraldton in June to experience the best local, national and international storytellers in a three day collection of workshops, keynotes, readings and performances.
Regional WA’s longest continuously running regional event returns for its 61st year! This massive medley of music, art and activities, highlighted by a parade through the heart of Geraldton, will provide a smorgasbord of the Mid West’s cultural delights.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet and work. We cherish First Nation’s people and respect their spiritual connection to their land and cultural heritage and belief systems. We value these ancient systems and understand that they are thriving, evolving and will empower and enhance all Australians.
